How to Transfer Space Ownership When a Member Departs?

Learn the step-by-step process to transfer workspace ownership or permissions from a departing team member to ensure seamless workflow continuity.

Detail

When a member leaves the team, administrators can easily transfer the departing member's space permissions to another employee with a single click, or revoke their access rights directly. This process is both efficient and convenient.


You can follow the steps below:


1)Access the team management dashboard

Log in to RemoteSpace and click 'Manage' to access the team management dashboard.



2) Select the member to be set as departed

Go to the 'Team' page, select the member to be set as 'Departed', and click 'Set as Departed'



3)Choose the handover method

To transfer space permissions to another member, select “Transfer permissions to others” and choose the designated member. To fully revoke the member's permissions, select “Revoke all permissions.”



4)Click 'Submit' to set the member as departed.

The member will no longer have access to the team spaces.
