Job Description

Alternaleaf is Montu’s leading clinic focused on a holistic approach to alternative medicine. We are seeking dedicated Doctors to join our team on a permanent basis in either a part-time or full-time capacity. We are open to all Medical Practitioners, not only GP's.

As an Alternaleaf prescriber, you will be conducting Telehealth consultations via Amazon Connect and prescribing alternative treatment plans to patients for a spectrum of physical and mental conditions. You’ll influence both patient outcomes and clinical satisfaction through best-in-class systems, protocols, and ongoing support, and help shape the evolving healthcare landscape by developing clinical insights, setting industry benchmarks, and influencing regulatory standards that define patient care.

What you can expect:

• Permanent opportunities available: Full time (38 hours and Part time minimum of 22.8 hours per week ) Your days will be fixed ongoing.
  • Available hours of work must be between 10am - 10pm Monday to Friday and 9am - 5pm on the weekend.
• Work From Home: Work from the comfort of your home anywhere in Australia (excluding SA & WA).
• Comprehensive Training: We provide full training to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed. Access to our accredited SAGED which count towards your CPD hours.
• Authorised Prescriber Licence: Full assistance with gaining your AP Licence for all categories. We cover the costs of this (~$2000) and our SAGE accredited courses count towards your CPD hours.
• Dedicated Support: Clinical support and education are available throughout clinical hours by our Doctor Support Team

Qualifications

We are seeking tech savvy Doctors who have an interest in alternative health treatments and have an ongoing commitment to our patients and the Alternaleaf team.

• Medical Degree (PGY4+ experience)
• Full working rights - we do not offer sponsorship
• AHPRA registration with nil restrictions or conditions
• Experience working within the Australian healthcare system
• Authorised Prescriber (AP) for medicinal cannabis is highly regarded
• Medical Indemnity Insurance - covering telehealth & prescribing for schedule 8 medications, including medical cannabis
• Tech savvy with the ability to use multiple systems whilst completing consults
• Able to obtain a Medicare Provider Number
• Must be based in Australia (we do not offer the ability to work form overseas)
• Excellent communication, strong work ethic and attention to detail
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced and agile environment

Additional Information

Our Education team will take you through onboarding, ensuring you are equipped with all the knowledge needed to run consults. You will have a designated Doctor Support Team Leader to assist with any queries during clinic operating hours, including monthly 1:1’s and individualised fortnightly data reports.
