We are seeking candidates for "Claims Advisory - Specialist"based in Johannesburg office!

We will count you on to.
- Review and understand incoming documentation seeking guidance or advice where necessary
- Identify all potential policies and coverages, seek validation where necessary, and advice where uncertain or clarification required
- Communicate with clients, colleagues, third parties or insurers for status updates, information requests, instructions or query resolution
- Provide support for procedural guidance to clients and facilitate information requests between colleagues ,insurers and clients
- Communicate with colleagues, clients or beneficiaries to provide status updates, and follow-up with insurers on escalations
- Generate claims reports from internal system as required, validate, supplement and distribute as necessary
- Adhere to compliance / regulatory requirements, or Marsh’s Professional standards to maintain quality & avoid potential E&O situations
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, colleagues, third parties and insurers
- Effectively communicate with clients, colleagues, third parties or insurers as appropriate at all times, and as per local procedures
- Ensure all applicable records and files are kept up to date in accordance to internal policies
- Proactively handle tasks and activities to ensure adherence to local or client service standards, or KPI's
- Manage and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines, service standards or deliverables, escalate or seek assistance where necessary
- Manage allocated claims portfolios to ensure overall adherence to Marsh Policies
- Manage escalations from start to end and ensure all involved parties kept up to date with developments and seek or defer for appropriate advice where necessary
- Keep all relevant parties informed ,as appropriate , of any potential problems or contentious claims
- Manage outstanding run off claims per the professional standards
What you need to have?
- Insurance and claims handling knowledge
- Clear and concise oral and written communication skills in English.
- Strong numerical skills
- Excellent organization skills – able to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills – able to work within a team
- Be comfortable and have experience working with technology (solutions)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (or equivalent) – Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong time management skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Previous insurance studies will be advantageous
