Neogen is seeking a highly motivated and relationship-driven Sales Support Specialist – Dairy to support and grow its Igenity® product line and services within the dairy segment. This role plays a key part in supporting the Livestock Field Sales Team by shortening the sales cycle, identifying new opportunities, and helping close business across top-tier dairy accounts. The Sales Support Specialist will collaborate closely with Product Management, Marketing, and Customer Service to deliver an exceptional customer experience and drive revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sales strategies and plans of action for the top 30–50 dairy accounts in collaboration with sales leadership.
  • Provide technical support and expertise for Igenity® products to the Livestock Sales Team and directly to customers.
  • Participate in customer visits with Field Sales to support sales conversations and aid in closing opportunities.
  • Present new product ideas and support commercialization efforts once approved.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to plan and execute advertising, promotional efforts, and campaigns that increase market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key dairy industry stakeholders and influencers.
  • Regularly communicate with current customers to ensure satisfaction, resolve concerns, and monitor competitive positioning.
  • Meet or exceed assigned revenue goals for products within the dairy segment.
  • Assist in developing marketing collateral and programs in collaboration with the communications team.
  • Represent Neogen at trade shows, conferences, and distributor meetings, and deliver presentations as needed.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, customer needs, and competitive activity through continuous reading and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer activity in Salesforce and support accurate forecasting.
  • Conduct at least two ride-alongs with Field Sales representatives per month to maintain strong field alignment.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Animal Science, Agricultural Business, or a related field required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant sales experience.

Strong dairy industry experience is required, with established connections in the sector.
