About The Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Compensation Manager to join our team! Reporting to our Head of Broad-based Compensation, you will partner closely with our sales organizations on the design, implementation, and governance of sales incentive compensation plans, and serve as the primary Compensation Partner to the sales organizations on any broad-based compensation needs.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive best practices for sales incentive compensation plan design, implementation, and communication ensuring sales incentive compensation plans alignment with business strategy, organizational goals, risk controls, and governance.
  • Own the end-to-end process of the Annual Review of all sales plans, components, documents, governance review and communications in partnership with Sales, Risk, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Administer all sales incentive compensation plans, ensuring accurate calculation and administration of monthly, quarterly and annual incentive compensation payments and support special sales contest and other ad-hoc requests as needed.
  • Act as a strategic partner and SME on all sales compensation matters, demonstrating expertise in plan design, agreements, processes, data sources and industry practices.
  • Ensure appropriate application of internal controls, including participation in annual risk review of sales incentive and other compensation plans.
  • Provide up-to-date market intelligence on competitive compensation trends and practices.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners and sales leaders on broad-based compensation related matters including job offers, internal movement, pay recommendations, and job leveling.
  • Manage and coordinate participation in salary surveys; analyze market data results to determine competitiveness of overall pay levels.
  • Ensure compensation practices are equitable and are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Support cross-functional compensation initiatives such as program design or process improvements.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of progressive compensation experience with a strong focus on sales incentive plan design and governance.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Finance, Business, Economics, or Accounting.
  • Proven deep understanding of sales compensation and broad-based total compensation programs including base pay, short- and long-term incentives.
  • Strong relationship management skills and ability to apply consultative and influencing skills in a business environment.
  • Solid understanding of the external competitive market and the regulatory and compliance environment.
  • Demonstrates strong critical and conceptual thinking skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information to understand the broader context while maintaining attention to detailed accuracy.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to navigate through ambiguity, organize, prioritize, meet deadlines and drive projects to completion.
  • Advanced understanding of Excel is critical to this role with a high level of proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information.

Compensation:

For positions based in Jersey City, NJ, the base salary range is $180,000 - $205,000 and the position is eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.

The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors, which may include the candidate’s geographic location, skills, experience and other qualifications. In addition, the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

Work Location:

This position is based in Corebridge Financials' Houston, TX or Jersey City, NJ office and is subject to our hybrid working policy, which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely. However, we are open to considering full remote candidates.
