Quantitative Researcher EMEA (F/M/D)

Join our dynamic team at Flowdesk as a Quantitative Researcher EMEA, where you will have the opportunity to lead innovative research initiatives in the fast-evolving world of cryptocurrencies. You will leverage advanced quantitative techniques to develop and refine trading strategies that enhance profit potential and mitigate risk.

Your role and responsibilities

• Develop and implement quantitative models and algorithms to identify trading signals, optimize strategies, and enhance profitability
• Conduct thorough research on market trends, trading behaviors, and financial instruments using a variety of quantitative methods and data analysis techniques
• Build and maintain robust backtesting frameworks to evaluate the performance of developed models accurately.
• Collaborate with traders, developers, and data scientists to integrate research outputs into trading operations effectively
• Present research findings and performance analyses to stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of complex concepts

Requirements

Background and experience

• Master's or PhD in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Finance
• Proven experience (3+ years) in quantitative research or algorithmic trading, preferably within the financial services sector
• Strong programming skills in Python or R, with experience in data manipulation and analysis libraries (Pandas, Numpy, etc.)
• Familiarity with machine learning techniques and their application in strategy development
• Knowledge of crypto markets and digital assets is a significant advantage

Skills and personality

• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities
• Proactive, curious, and independent, with a strong desire to learn and innovate
• Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously
• Professional proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus
