Qualifications:
- Proficiency with Cadence Allegro:
- Familiarity with Cadence Allegro is essential. While the candidate does not need to be a layout expert, they should be capable of navigating the Allegro system to extract data and query information.
- Experience in design is a plus, as it enhances the candidate's ability to understand and work with design data effectively.
- DFM Verification Experience:
- The candidate should have experience in DFM verification, demonstrating the ability to validate designs against PCB vendor capabilities for both fabrication and assembly.
- Proficiency in using DFM software, such as Valor NPI, is highly desirable to ensure efficient and accurate validation processes.
- Basic Understanding of different board technologies:
- Understanding of the manufacturing process for RFPC FPC and associated design rules.
- Understanding the differences in the FPC/RFPC technologies Conventional, MSAP, SIP…
- Incorporating manufacturing design rules/constraints into the design environment with porting stackups into the tool.
- Technical Background in Software and Scripting:
- A strong technical background in software is required, along with the ability to perform basic scripting tasks.
- This expertise is crucial for setting up processes and scripts, facilitating technical knowledge transfer, and enabling efficient process implementation.
- Manufacturing Expertise:
- While the candidate does not need to be an SMT engineer, a comprehensive understanding of both the fabrication and assembly of printed circuit boards is strongly recommended.
- The candidate will be responsible for validating designs, necessitating strong domain expertise in manufacturing processes.
- Interacted with flex suppliers extensively in the design process and understanding the DFP process at the suppliers.
