Job Summary:
As a leading marketing automation consulting and services firm, BDO is looking for a Campaign Specialist to help us transform the way our clients engage with their customers. BDO provides Campaign Execution Services as a valuable extension of our client's marketing team. Our clients leverage our team of certified marketing technology and campaign professionals to produce, manage, deploy and monitor email marketing campaigns and marketing automation best practices.
Working directly with our clients in collaboration with our Managed Services team, this role will develop and execute email marketing campaigns in a variety of marketing automation tools, in accordance with clients' specifications. This role is responsible for the execution of email campaigns and related landing page configurations, form setup, segmentation, testing, through to deployment, as well as post-campaign reporting and data management. This position has a deep understanding of the campaign management lifecycle, including data quality, QA, email deliverability and measurement of ROI and KPIs. The Campaign Specialist applies marketing automation best practices to produce efficient and effective campaigns for our clients.
The ideal candidate must possess excellent email campaign production and execution skills, client relations experience, project management skills, and have some experience with leading marketing automation systems, such as Marketo, Eloqua, Hubspot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Pardot.
Job Duties:
- Develops email and landing page assets based on the templates and style guides provided by the client
- Creates and modifies HTML and CSS code to renders accurately in all major email clients and leading browsers for PCs, Macs, and mobile devices
- Implements email HTML coding best practices to avoid email spam traps
- Structures the use of links, images and styles based on the standards provided by the client
- Leads engagements for small and mid-size clients, including but not limited to serving as the project manager, consulting with clients to understand their needs and providing guidance and expertise on their digital campaign strategy
- Performs post-campaign analysis and shares findings along with recommendations for campaign improvements during client debrief sessions
- Creates landing pages and integrated forms for capturing campaign respondents
- Handles and uploads images and files for marketing campaigns within the marketing automation platform
- Assesses email deliverability and test rendering of email assets across various email providers and devices
- Tests end-to-end campaign tracking from email delivery through to engagement, data processing, and reporting
- Works directly with internal resources and the asset requester to QA, review and revise the assets if necessary
- Continuously evaluates and suggests process improvements to expedite campaign production
- Implements list segmentation strategies for targeted email campaigns
- Creates and maintains job aids – both how-to and process documents
- Works independently and make collaborative decisions with clients, supported by a project manager.
- Assists with special projects as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Mentors and onboards new Campaign Specialists
- Provides performance feedback and coaching
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED, required
- Bachelor's degree, preferred
Experience:
- Three (3) or more years of experience in the Marketing operations, digital demand generation or marketing technology, required
- Three (3) or more years of experience building and deploying email campaigns or marketing operations projects using one or more of the following marketing automation platforms: Marketo, Eloqua, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud or Pardot, required
- Knowledge of best practices for email creative, segmentation, deliverability and CAN-SPAM regulations, required
- Use of HTML/CSS to successfully code email and landing pages, required
- Experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics, preferred
License/Certifications:
- Certification in one (1) or more of the following Marketing Automation platforms: Marketo, Eloqua, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Pardot, preferred
Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues related to HTML templates, list segmentation and other aspects of email execution
- Ability to manage multiple integrated initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent time-management skills, organization and project management skills
- Ability to quickly identify and address operational and process issues
- Ability to think creatively about marketing testing techniques and options
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience communicating directly with clients and maintaining proactive partnerships
- Experience working remotely/from home office
