Location: U.S. Remote

Employment Type: Two-month Contract Role (up to 40 hours weekly)

About the role:

At Innodata, we’re working on its next generation by helping clients expand the possibilities of what Large Language Models can achieve. And now, we’re looking for smart, savvy, and curious Language Specialists to join our team.

What you’ll be doing:

As a Language Specialist on our team, you will be joining a truly global team of subject matter experts across a wide variety of disciplines and AI engineers and will be entrusted with a range of responsibilities. This will include:

  • Creating training data sets for AI models that will help improve their accuracy, fluency, coherence and/or voice

  • Annotating data to help AI models align with human values

  • Analyzing and improving the grammar, syntax, and sentence structure of both expert generated training data and AI model-generated text to ensure it adheres to linguistic rules and conventions

  • Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, researchers, and software engineers to refine and iterate data sets

  • Contributing to evolving specifications for AI-model training and data recipes

  • Navigating a dynamic environment and adapting to shifting guidelines and flexible priorities

  • Achieving target KPIs, including daily job count and average handle time per job, within specified data production windows

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher required. Advanced degrees (Master’s or PhD) are strongly preferred

  • Professional or Expert level proficiency (C1/C2) in English and Finnish

Hourly Rate: $22.00 USD per hour

Hourly rates at Innodata vary depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the role, skill set, educational background and geographic location. As required by local law, Innodata provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, District of Columbia, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York or Washington as set forth below.
