About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Inside Sales Representative to manage and support customer orders from entry to final delivery for our Eastern Region accounts. NOV Corporate office located in Houston but this is a remote position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a seamless sales process, ensuring exceptional service to clients, and supporting the external sales team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Order Management: Review purchase order, drawing, and quote before customer service team enters order. Manage updates from order entry through to delivery completion, including order status updates to assigned accounts.
  • Sales Support: Partner with outside sales representatives to ensure customer needs are met and sales targets are supported.
  • Coordination: Work closely with customer satisfaction specialist, operations shipment teams, and customers to coordinate timely shipments and resolve delivery issues.
  • CRM & Systems: Responsible for closing opportunities within CRM after sales win; work closely with outside sales monthly to review their opportunities.
  • Problem Solving: Proactively manage potential issues with orders, deliveries, or client concerns to ensure satisfaction.
  • Reporting: Prepare regular reports on order status, customer feedback, and sales activity for management review.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2–4 years of inside sales, customer service, or order management experience, preferably in a B2B or manufacturing/distribution environment
  • Proven ability to manage order lifecycle from entry through delivery with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot), ERP/order entry platforms, and Excel
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; able to build strong relationships with both customers and internal teams
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and initiative in resolving customer issues and process bottlenecks
  • Team-oriented with a customer-first mindset
  • Familiarity with logistics and distribution processes is a plus
