Position Summary:

The Consultant - Compliance is responsible for supporting NCE clients with their sponsor license compliance activities, which includes conducting and completing on site mock audits, preparation for and attendance at UKVI inspections, and delivering training. The role will require national travel to school sites and events, primarily in the North of England and Scotland.

Other duties include and are not limited to supporting with the management of the Sponsorship Management System license (SMS), Basic Compliance Assessment (BCA) and Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS).

Consultants - Compliance are also responsible for engaging with our clients to provide knowledge and training, onboarding clients to our internal system Immigo ensuring we are compliant for each school. You will manage and support multiple areas of compliance across the business including preparing and providing guidance for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) inspections, reviewing and distributing BRPs (Biometric Residence Permit) and more.

Consultants – Compliance will work in a dedicated team supporting a defined set of schools/clients. You will work alongside Immigration Consultants to execute the end to end process.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supporting with the management of the Sponsorship Management System license (SMS), supporting schools in the renewal process of obtaining this license
  • Completing the Basic Compliance Assessment (BCA)
  • Managing the Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) volumes and assist the schools with managing and increasing their allocation where appropriate
  • Monitoring visa and passport expiry dates and alerting clients
  • Preparing and providing guidance for UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI) audits
  • Undertaking mock audits with schools in preparation for UK Visa & Immigrations (UKVI) inspections
  • Timely completion of professionally written audit reports providing findings and recommendations following visits
  • Managing the provision of advice in relation to sponsor compliance
  • School/client training; provision of training for new joiners to schools as well as providing regular and ad hoc training for all compliance related activity and technology, updating and managing NCE data to reconcile student data, ensuring compliance across all data and practices
  • Undertaking reporting obligations to ensure data is correct including contact details of parents and students
  • Preparing accurate registers for schools in a timely manner
  • Working collaboratively within immigration teams to comply with OISC regulations
  • Undertaking relevant record keeping
  • Uploading documentation onto the relevant databases
  • Actively use Newland Chase’s database, ensuring all updates are timely and systems remain fully compliant
  • Reviewing and distributing Biometric Residence Permit’s (BRPs)
  • Ensuring you are implementing client regulatory compliance at all times
  • Managing with the preparation and delivery of client reports in Excel or other database software
  • Working with relevant Managers to keep up to date with compliance information and updates, communicating this to the wider team with the guidance of the Senior Compliance Consultant
  • Supporting the Compliance Manager with any other relevant duties
  • Uploading all necessary documentation onto our systems for tracking purposes
  • Escalating potential issues to senior management in a timely manner where appropriate for support and guidance
  • Ensuring appropriate client records are established and maintained and that key correspondence and documentation are saved in the relevant places i.e. Immigo
  • As a Compliance Consultant you should be registered as a trainee with supervision and take the OISC Level 1 exam within 12 months of joining NCE or you should already be OISC Level 1 qualified
  • Ad hoc projects as defined by Senior Management
