What You Will Do:

Reports to: Head of Talent

Executive Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly qualified and experienced Human Resources Manager to direct and oversee human resources operations within Vietnam. The successful candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of Vietnamese labor legislation, demonstrate exceptional interpersonal abilities for fostering relationships with personnel and senior management, and exhibit the capability to execute human resources initiatives that are in accordance with the organization's corporate culture and strategic objectives.

Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance & Vietnamese Labor Law:

  • Ensure organizational policies are compliant with Vietnamese labor laws, fiscal regulations, and standards of employment.
  • Supervise the procurement of work permits, visas, and requisite employee documentation for both domestic and international personnel.
  • Serve as the primary organizational liaison with regional labor authorities and legal counsel.

Employee Relations & Organizational Culture:

  • Function as a trusted Human Resources consultant to managerial staff and employees, promoting an inclusive and positive professional atmosphere.
  • Address staff grievances, manage conflict resolution, and implement disciplinary actions with impartiality and adherence to regulatory standards.

Compensation, Benefits, and Salary Administration:

  • Calculate monthly employee salaries, ensuring accurate processing of base pay, allowances, bonuses, statutory contributions (social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance), and tax deductions in accordance with Vietnamese regulations.
  • Partner with Finance to reconcile payroll reports and address any discrepancies.
  • Support the design and administration of local benefits programs, including health insurance and other statutory or supplemental benefits.
  • Maintain updated salary records and advise management on adjustments in line with labor market trends and company policy.

Performance & Development:

  • Implement and administer performance management frameworks within Vietnam.
  • Facilitate professional development initiatives, ensuring staff are provided with avenues for advancement.
  • Deliver Human Resources data analytics and reports to support strategic decision-making processes.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of eight years of Human Resources experience within Vietnam, ideally within a multinational or rapidly evolving enterprise.
  • Thorough understanding of Vietnamese labor regulations, tax statutes, payroll practices, and work authorization procedures.
  • Capacity to balance strategic Human Resources planning with practical operational execution.
  • Proficiency in both Vietnamese and English.
  • Experience with Human Resources information systems, payroll software, and compliance tools is advantageous.
