The role

SalesAPE is entering a pivotal stage of growth in targeted vertical markets. We’re hiring a commercially minded, high-potential individual to help unlock a major new growth opportunity.

The ideal candidate is sharp, confident, and already on a steep career trajectory - someone who thrives in fast-moving environments and wants to prove themselves by delivering measurable commercial results.

You’ll report into the marketing team but work closely with the Founder/CEO and sales teams, flexing across departments to drive new business. From partnerships and events to outbound activity and comms, this is a hybrid growth role with huge scope and visibility.

Defining the Role: marketing vs. growth associate

This isn’t a traditional marketing hire. While you’ll technically sit within the marketing function, your day-to-day will blend brand-led activity with business development, product-led growth, and outbound strategy. You'll represent the company in multiple contexts - digital, in-person, across sectors - and be expected to move quickly, test ideas, and drive outcomes.

Marketing focuses on always-on channels and owned communications. This role sits at the intersection - targeting verticals, generating new opportunities, and activating growth through partnerships, press, and event-based outreach.

Core Responsibilities

The growth associate will drive SalesAPE’s expansion across high-priority verticals. Responsibilities include:

  • Leading vertical-specific marketing and outreach efforts

  • Developing and managing influencer partnerships with the existing marketing team

  • Coordinating vertical PR and trade communications

  • Representing Salesape at trade shows and industry events

  • Supporting outbound sales efforts and assisting with lead generation (digital and via ATL work)

  • Feeding insights and opportunities back into marketing and product teams

Day-to-Day Activities

A typical day might include:

  • Planning and executing growth campaigns by vertical

  • Reaching out to potential media, influencer, or partner contacts

  • Coordinating with the sales team on outbound initiatives

  • Drafting messaging or supporting event logistics

  • Reviewing data and adjusting campaigns based on performance

  • Joining team syncs across marketing, sales, and product to align efforts

Essential Skills & Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates should be driven, confident, and action-oriented – with a mix of commercial instinct and communication savvy.

Proficiencies

  • Campaign delivery across influencer, event, and partner channels

  • Trade and vertical PR, and comms experience

  • Outbound or sales enablement exposure

  • Competence in writing, messaging, and brand representation

  • Digital tools: CRM, outreach platforms, tracking and reporting

  • Comfortable switching between strategy and hands-on execution

Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills

  • Able to identify gaps and opportunities in the market

  • Uses a test-and-learn mindset to iterate quickly

  • Confident prioritising high-impact opportunities

  • Comfortable reporting on performance and making decisions from data

Soft Skills

  • Highly motivated self-starter

  • We’re looking for someone resourceful and sharp - the kind of person who creates a Slack Canvas to brief the leadership team in the morning before a conference, then works the event floor to secure three BD meetings the same day

  • Great communicator and relationship builder

  • Positive energy and presence - both online and in-person

  • Collaborates effectively across teams and time zones (UK + US)

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to roll sleeves up

Education and Experience

We’re open on background, but the right person will likely have:

  • 2–5 years’ experience in marketing, business development, or partnerships

  • Worked in a fast-growth or early-stage business

  • Proven ability to contribute to lead generation or revenue-driving initiatives

  • Ideally based in the US, but UK and other time zones considered if there's a strong personality/ skills fit

Growth Opportunities

This is a stepping stone into a senior commercial or growth role. As the business scales, you’ll have the opportunity to lead vertical marketing, manage teams or expand into partnerships, strategy, or GTM leadership. You’ll work closely with the founder and senior leadership, shaping how SalesAPE grows in key markets.

Conclusion

The growth associate will play a key role in SalesAPE’s next chapter of growth – driving targeted growth and helping the business win in new markets. This is a fast-paced, high-impact role for someone looking to stretch themselves and move quickly. You’ll have autonomy, responsibility, and the support of a senior team invested in your success.
