Job Overview:
We are the leading global WordPress agency, building enterprise content platforms and providing digital consultancy for over a decade. We’re looking for an experienced Account Director to join our commercial team to help us lead our Strategic Partnership Program in the Americas. This is a fully-remote role and you can be located anywhere geographically within the US or Canada. You should be fluent in both written and spoken English.
Key outcomes (first 12‑18 months)
New business- ≥US $1.5 m closed won
Account growth & retention - ≥ 90 % client renewal rate• ≥ 10 % YoY Existing Account Growth
Relationship leadership Exec‑level relationships at every top‑10 account - NPS ≥ 50 across portfolio
Core Responsibilities
1. Pipeline generation
Partner with marketing to execute a regional strategy (ABM, partner co‑selling, events) that fills the top of the funnel and aligns to ICP and vertical plays.
2. Solution‑selling & deal execution
Qualify, scope and close complex WordPress projects, marshalling pre‑sales engineers and delivery leads; negotiate MSAs & SOWs through signature.
3. Strategic account management
Own a portfolio of 5‑8 enterprise clients; collaborate with delivery teams to run QBRs, create Account Growth Strategies, and surface expansion ideas that drive mutual value.
4. Commercial health & reporting
Maintain accurate revenue forecasts, margin / utilisation views and risk registers; present weekly to the Global Commercial Director.
5. Cross‑functional leadership
Act as the commercial voice in regional squad ceremonies; ensure seamless sales‑to‑delivery hand‑offs and champion client outcomes.
6. Thought leadership & ecosystem
Represent Human Made at WordCamps, partner events, and industry forums to elevate our brand and create demand. Work with marketing to produce thought-leadership content which supports regional strategy.
7. Forecast & data hygiene
HubSpot hygiene score > 90 % across deals & accounts
Requirements
- 7+ yrs combined enterprise B2B sales and/or account‑management experience in a digital agency
- Proven track record owning $1 m+ quotas and renewing multi‑year, multi‑stakeholder engagements.
- Deep familiarity with WordPress at scale (plugins, VIP, hosting ecosystem) and Agile Scrum delivery.
- Mastery of consultative/solution selling, contract negotiation, and commercial analytics.
- Exceptional written, verbal and asynchronous communication; comfortable influencing C‑suite and distributed teams.
- High EQ, bias for action, and the judgement to balance growth with sustainable client happiness.
Nice‑to‑haves: public speaking at OSS events, HubSpot / other CRM power‑user, basic financial modelling.
