WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- You will be responsible for providing guidance to the business areas with respect to information reporting and product taxation, primarily related to life, health, and annuity products.
- You will be responsible for the coordination of the annual information reporting process and the production and filing of miscellaneous forms and correspondence.
- You will be responsible for the review, administration, and oversight of use tax and property tax filings prepared by a third party accounting firm. This includes the administration of certain state incentive programs and well as audit administration.
- You will be responsible for assisting with special projects and other matters as they arise.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
- You will bring a Bachelor of Science in accounting or equivalent and the Certified Public Accountant accreditation or equivalent.
- You will bring a strong understanding of federal and state information reporting requirements and the taxation of insurance products.
- You will bring strong research and organization skills including the ability to effectively communicate to internal and external parties and to set, monitor, report out on key goals/hurdles and results, and establish and manage data files.
- You promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.
- Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.
PREFERRED:
- Prior experience in a large insurance environment with proven responsibilities related to information reporting and other compliance responsibilities.
- Prior experience in automating or streamlining work processes eliminating non-value-added tasks or reporting.
