Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Accounts Payable Specialist/Sr. Accounts Payable Specialist with high-volume invoicing and Coupa experience to join our Finance team on a 3-month contract basis. This role is ideal for focused, high-energy individuals who thrive within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility for processing high volume of vendor invoices with a high level of accuracy, diligence, and ensuring proper authorization
- Responsible for all maintenance of accurate and organized invoice records
- Strong knowledge of procure-to-pay best practices to identify areas of improvement and establish highly efficient and repeatable close process
- Support month-end closing activities and assist with financial reporting
- Strong understanding of Chart of Accounts to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments to resolve invoicing issues
Qualifications:
- Coupa experience is a must (2+ years)
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and accounts payable processes
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to think and work proactively while maintaining high-volume tasks
- High level of autonomy and communication skills for working remotely, needs to work collaboratively across functions and as part of a team
